The Coloured Cob Centre is a small, friendly, family run business based in the heart of East Anglia. Over the years we have worked with various types of horses in many disciplines, but have finally settled with the kind we love the most – Coloured Cobs!
 Cobs are renowned for their honest, easygoing nature and are generally not phased by situations that can make other types nervous or upset. As adults who no longer seek the thrill of demanding show jumping courses and have bodies that don’t seem to bounce so well should we have a fall, cobs tick all the boxes for a ride that is safe, sensible but still tremendous fun. As parents we also know how nervous you can be when your children want to gallop across open fields before they can even trot on the lead rein – here again the cob wins a red rosette for its unrivalled care of young riders.
Why coloured? – Well why have plain when you can have fancy! Coloureds are so very individual and desirable. We do however also have some solid coloured cobs available. Coloureds include Piebald (black & white) and Skewbalds (any other colour & white). These are then subcategorised into Tobiano, Overo, and Tovero (types of markings). Blagdons and similar Sabino cobs are also included. |
