Diamaid, 5yr old gelding

Just thought I would write to thank you for all your help when we purchased Diarmaid and to let you know how he’s getting on. Diarmaid settled in brilliantly as soon as he got here and everyone at the yard loves him. He has a best friend called Vagabond, a little black Shetland.

I have been hacking out a lot and he has been brilliant. We have also been jumping small courses getting him used to all sorts of different jumps and he never refuses!

I’m spoiling Diarmaid as I’m buying him lots of new things like rugs and numnahs. We have also just bought our show gear as we plan to take him to a few local shows soon.

We had our first gallop on a big open field and he was not strong at all. We will be taking him to Horseshoe Farm very soon to jump the x-country fences.

We always try and keep him looking smart although it’s a bit difficult in the winter! He loves his food like always!  Thanks again he is the horse of my dreams and always will be.

A few months later.............
Just writing to tell you that Diarmaid and I are going from strength to strength. We did really well at a hunter trial jumping straw bales, fallen trees and hay mangers as well as many other scary fences. You would think that he'd been to shows all his life as he didn't look at anything and wasn't at all hyped up. I don't know what I would do without him, I love him so much.

Donnie, 4 year old gelding

We have only had Donnie since April 2009 but he has come on amazingly well in every way. I hack out on him and he's so good ,new things don't faze him at all and he takes everything in his stride. He's great to catch, load, with the farrier and loves to be groomed and fussed over.

I recently got him a set of western tack and he looks so cute in it, he has a new full wardrobe, all in purple and recently went on to hard feed which he loves, especially pony nuts!

I was a little dubious about getting a 4 year old baby, but I couldn't ask for a better pony. I will never ever part with my boy, every day he amazes me with how good he is. I recommend Tanya to anyone looking for a pony best friend, she has the best cobs ever, knows her charges very well and clearly loves them all very much. Thanks Tanya, at 34 he's my lifetime dream achieved.

Bob, 8 year old gelding

I just wanted to thank you for finding me the absolute perfect pony. He has such a lovely personality and so much character he always keeps me smiling.

We bonded from day one and he is restoring all of my lost confidence. I am enjoying riding all over again!

An absolute poppet in the school, knows his job and does as he is asked.

I can't wait to send you or first ever show pics, hopefully it won't be long before I can.

Thank you again - Love Gina and Bob

Scout, yearling colt

Just a quick message to say Scout is doing really well and is now happy to follow me in the morning in to the field and back again on a night without a lead rope, yes that's right! I just shout him and he plods up the field and into his stable. He has also made a new friend in Jack his stable mate next door, he follows him around the field like a little puppy. Well that's about it he's settled in great, loves company and we are so happy with him. Thanks for a great little cob, he was just as you said.

Take care - Paula

Strawberry, 3yr old stallion

Just to let you know, Strawberry has settled in brilliantly. The first day he was a little bit anxious, to be expected! I put him out to let him have a good look round his surroundings, he decided the grass was greener on the otherside and jumped a huge hedge with a brook on the otherside. He ran around with the mares and foals for a while and got beaten up by my daughters gelding (Bobbisox was obviously protecting his woman :-) ) he then came straight to me, let me in that nasty boy is hurting me !! I brought him in, washed him off and he went and munched hay happily. He hasn't been any bother since. He goes out now with electric fencing along the hedge and keeps his distance. He loves Joseph the donkey and plays for ages with him.

He is going to be broken to drive in 4 weeks, so hopefully that will give him a job over the winter. He really is a sweetie and loves his cuddles. Also like you said he will play with ANYTHING that is left within his reach, so he now has a stable full of toys, jolly ball, football, likits and a vitamin lick attached to the wall, he plays all day with them then sticks his head over the door with a muzzle covered in treacle !!

Thank you for your wonderful speedy delivery of my super boy, I'll post you some pics when he is in shafts.

Thanks again, take care. Jo & George

Just William, 5yr old gelding

William settled into the field ok with his new friends, there was a lot of excitement and squealing to start, but William stamped his authority very quickly! I called him yesterday and his ears pricked up, and he did a very pretty boy trot down the field to me, marvellous as im used to trudging miles to get my other one, as she had very selective hearing!

Yesterday I took him in the sandschool just to get the feel of him, I did feel very much like a pea on a mountain mind you. He was a lovely boy and seems very comfy in his new saddle and bridle, the saddle I have to say is bloody marvellous, like sitting on a squishy cushion, so very pleased with that :)

Today friends of mine rode through the yard so I hooked on behind and we went across the downs, he didn't put a foot wrong bless him, then the real test for me was leaving them at there yard and coming home alone. Not being the bravest of people, at times I was quivering in my boots but William took it all in his stride and trundled me back home safe and sound. So we are getting on famously, our first lesson is next week and I'm starting my fitness regime now as boy am I unfit!

Ill keep the little updates coming for you, but suffice to say he's settled, he's happy and so am i :))))

Update

Just got back from our long awaited beach outing with William, and I've enclosed some pics for you :)

I can't tell you what an absolute superstar he was, I hired a trailer, wasn't sure how he'd load but silly me of course he'd take it all in his stride and stroll on, he merrily munched his hay on the way. We got to the car park and there was a sport relief event on so it was packed with cars and runners, but good old Will got off and enjoyed having a look at all the goings on :)

Went onto the beach, and Tanya I can't tell you just how wonderful it was, we went right in the water and cantered along, I had a grin from ear to ear! He did not put a foot wrong bless him, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. As you can see from the pics, I gave in and had him fully clipped, he was getting too hot with such a wooly coat on, and you can actually see there's a real horse under all that hair! He looks very majestic.

Thankyou again for giving me such a wonderful chap, he's exceeded all my expectations and some :))

Hope all's well with you, Nikki :) x

BB, 2 year old colt
Just wanted to let you know how perfect BB is, he is such an amazing boy. He is really sweet, totally unspoilt. He can be a bit cheeky which is adorable, andhe makes me laugh so much. I can mess about with him in his stable and he stands like a rock for me. He tries so hard to please and everyday we are learning little things. Today I rode my other horse Harley and left BB out on his own in the field next to the menage. He was fascinated with what we were doing for about five minutes then carried on with the serious business of eating. He did not even try to do anything daft. He is amazing and I love him to bits.

THANK YOU – Louise

Holly, 8 year old mare

We bought Holly off you nearly two years ago now and just wanted to say thanks! She is perfect. She loves it at her new home and we are having lots of fun together :-) Everyone at the yard loves her. She is in a field with two other mares and enjoys eating!!
We went to two shows last year. We jumped two clear rounds and a double clear 1 foot 6. She was really good and loved the attention.
She is a great jumper, but a bit like at rocket at the moment. Who said cobs were slow!! :D

Thanks again! H, H and P
