Cracker, 4yr old gelding

I just wanted to say that Tanya has been a great help to me not only with the purchase of my lovely pony Cracker but her help when I was looking for a horse. I told her exactly what I wanted in a horse and she said she'd help in any way. I must admit that buying such a young horse I had my reservations but I have to admit Tanya was right. Cracker has been everything she said and is still surprising me with how quick he learns. I still keep in touch with Tanya to ask advice which she is always happy to give. So when my partner is ready for a horse of his own I will certainly use Tanya at the Coloured Cob Centre again.

Thanks so much for your help - Debbie and Cracker X

Boo, 3yr old gelding

Just to say BOO has settled in very well, he now has me for a very special friend for company. We've been out hacking a lot these holidays. I am also teaching him transitions, and am going to start lungeing him soon.  I have been hacking out with my other friend and her pony and he has behaved very well, he is fantastic in every way i.e dogs, traffic, little children, umbrellas etc.

The bitless bridle is now coming along and we are both starting to listen to each other and communicating. He is a lovely boy and I love him.

Tanya is not like any other horse dealer! We loved her the moment we spoke to her on the phone and she never tried to 'sell' us anything.  She is an honest and genuine person and couldn’t do enough to help and advise.  We are still communicating with her about Boo and his development.  She obviously loves all her ponies and cried when we loaded Boo into the trailer. I would never go anywhere else in future.  I would recommend her to anyone.  It’s so nice to find someone you can trust!  Thanks Tanya.

                                                                                   Kindest regards - Summer x

Update

Just to let you know that the little boo you used to remember isn't so little any more, he is now a big boy!  Now it's winter, he has very long mane, fluffy feet, tail and body.
I took him to his first cross country in September and it's taken me till now to tell you our plans.  My big boy BOO started jumping 3 ft fences! He absolutely loves jumping and heads straight towards the fences.

Boo and I hacked out today, bit chilly but he loves the company and galloping across fields. We are such a couple now and he is so amazing.

I've had him freezebranded and he looks so goofy with a 5cm clipped patch whilst the rest of him is like a wooly mammoth!

He loves the snow and eats it off of my umbrella and the metal field gates - my strange pony!

He is such an amazing horse Tanya and I can't thank you enough for my perfect pony!!Once again thanks so much !!!!! I have recommended you to a lot of my horsey friends.

River, 4yr old gelding

Just a few words about River, he has settled in so well and fits right into the family. He is learning fast and never puts a foot wrong, a right little gem! Everyone in the family loves him and can't imagine being without him. We moved him from my Nan’s house down to some stables near our house where there are other horses. He has made lots of friends and loves it there, it also means I have made lots of pony-mad friends too.
In the summer I hope to take him to a few shows in the coloured section, and we are all looking forward to it so much!

He is a very pampered pony and has everything he ever needs, he now has everything in purpley blue, and looks very smart in all his rugs.

I have been having lessons on him every week.  We have found the perfect teacher who is just right for me and River and teaches us just what we both need. She loves River too.
Last week we started going on hacks with other ponies, he loves it and is keen to explore! He is always making us giggle and I love spending time with him.

Just recently we have chosen his show name, it will be 'Besonder River Prince' (Besonder means "Special" in German). We think it sounds very posh, he already has a personalised show rug in navy & gold and I‘m getting a new personalised jacket for my birthday!
He is such a perfect pony and I’m so glad we found him!

We are sorry that this has taken us so long to send but we have been having so much fun with River the months have flown by so quickly. Thank you for matching us up. I couldn't wish for a better pony. We are very pleased with him.  I hope you like the photo I have attached, it is just one of several hundred I have taken!!

Love from Melissa, Sarah and all the family

Henry, 2 year old colt

I would like to thank you so so so so much for my ace horse Henry. He is everything I have ever wanted and is doing very well in his new home. I would like to tell everyone to come your way when wanting to buy a horse because you're not like any other dealers in this world. You have great horses and you're not just out to make loads of money. You are honest with everything you say. You have helped me when I needed your help and you have given me the best horse in the world.  You're the best.

ANYONE WHO WANTS THE BEST HORSE OR PONY IN THE WORLD BUY FROM COLOURED COB CENTRE - YOU CAN'T GO WRONG.

Lots of love Harley and Henry xx

TJ, 3 year old gelding

I just can't thank you enough for helping me find my dream horse. TJ is a superstar he is the biggest softie with loads of character, he is quite vocal and has taught our yearling to talk too. Lol.

We have lightly backed him as he still has loads of growing to do, but this spring there will be nothing stopping us!

Everything we do together he accepts so willingly, I really couldn't ask for a nicer temperament..

The biggest thank-you... Janine & TJ x

Lulu, 5 year old mare

Just thought we would let you know how Lulu is getting on. We’ve had her 3 months now and she has settled in well. Elizabeth has been riding her alot and has started jumping her which Lulu seems to like and seems to be good at. Elizabeth has decided to do show jumping, cross-country or one day eventing and maybe even  take her on a hunt.

When Elizabeth decided to sell her little pony and buy a bigger horse we were very nervous as we'd had a bad experince in the pas but we came to see you and you showed us Lulu. You said she was young but safe, sweet, kind and calm.  Elizabeth trusted you and fell in love with Lulu and she is everything you said she was. When people ask where we got her from we tell them about you, we would be more than happy to recommend you to anyone wanting to buy a cob and can't thank you enough for letting us have Lulu.

See you soon love Elizabeth, Karen and Lulu xxx

Ruby, Yearling filly

Just a note to let you know how Ruby is getting on.  She is an absolute sweetheart, beautiful and PERFECT in every way. I have been trying to find some faults as it all seems too good to be true but honestly she has none.  I had lost hope in finding my perfect new partner and companion for Harry until I contacted you. The word "Dealer" was scary but from the minute I spoke to you all my worries disappeared.  You are exactly what you say you are on your website.  You described Ruby and all her ways perfectly and when we came to see her she was all you said and much more.  I am so looking forward to her growing up so we can have many, many years of fun together.  What a brilliant way to start 2008, many thanks for selling me such a beautiful cob and also for delivering her to our door.  I highly recommend the Coloured Cob Centre to anyone looking for the perfect cob. My very Best Wishes to you all for 2008, continue the excellent work.

Thank you so much, Kathryn & Ruby (Harry too) xxx

Sailor, Rising 2yr old gelding

Just thought I'd let you know how Sailor is doing. We've had him little over a month now and I can't believe that's all it's been. He settled so easily, it's like he was always here!

He's such a character! So affectionate, placid but cheeky and far more intelligent than he'd lead you to believe! Within the first week, so keen to be with people, he tried sneaking out his paddock while I wasn't looking! He'd been watching me from the far corner whilst I was going back and forth from the field, ducking under the rope I'd tied to the gate (so I could get through with the wheelbarrow without having to mess about with opening and closing it) As I approached the field, there he was, stood with the rope over his head, looking very confused - every time he raised his head, the gate shut on him!! So he lowered it and reversed...and went back to his corner, maybe to think his plan through again! He even managed to get into AND out of the hay barn the other day...the only sign he'd been there? One bale pulled down and a pile of poo!

We've been getting him used to as many 'scary monsters' as possible while he's young. He's met rattling trailers, motorbikes, large sheets of plastic, drills all without batting an eyelid and even stood next to my father whilst using a circular saw! He even coped with a local large fireworks display, only getting spooked when my other horse panicked at a screeching rocket! Incredible for an 18 month old!!

Everyone he meets falls in love with him! It's impossible not to! Considering I had 'given up' with any idea of riding after my spinal injury, I now cannot wait to start backing Sailor!

Thank you so much!! Sam, Jake & Sailor!!

Nero, Yearling colt

Many thanks to you all for the friendly and welcoming greeting that we received when we eventually arrived at you home. The tea and biscuits were very much needed after the arduous journey around the M25.

You were very patient with me as I found it very difficult to choose from the gorgeous youngsters that you had. I think in the end Nero chose us and has so far proved to be a little star. After having to endure the M25, M4 and M5 he popped off the trailer as if he was just returning home from a show! Nero has settled in really well with all of us and has become a really good ‘mate’ to my husband (who by his own admission often declares that he leaves the horsy stuff to me). No longer the case, he enjoys a cup of tea with Nero in the field and has taken to mucking him out as well as bossing me about over his welfare. I even heard him ask a friend who came to see Nero “What do you think of my boy then”?

I think we are going to have lots of fun, not just in watching Nero grow but also enjoying his companionship as well as eventually riding and driving him. I shall keep you up to date with his progress.

I have had several friends comment on Nero and look at your website all wishing they had some spare cash. I wouldn’t really put you into the ‘horse dealer’ category - you have the wrong attitude for it - more of a home locator for hairy, lovable cobs.

A big thank you for putting us and ‘Nero’ together.

Thanks again, I may be back for another!  Sara

Bentley, 4yr old gelding

After a FAB year with our new pony Bentley we thought we would let you know how he’s getting on. To start with he is the most well behaved pony we’ve ever known! He’s not a total angel as he has his off days, but he’s forever happy and willing to do anything. We have recently started jumping and he’s clearing 2ft 3in with ease. He’s been to a few local shows and has been placed in everything so far. We have also joined pony club this year which he’s enjoying. At his first ever dressage test he got placed 1st!! (We have even been asked by a couple of people at shows if we would consider selling him and we’ve always pointed them in your direction)!

Thanks so much for a super little pony! We love him!

Bailey, 3yr old gelding

I purchased Bailey from you and we are having a great time together. He’s happy hacking in company or alone, is jumping beautifully and we’re off on a hunt soon, all of this at just three years old!

Thanks for this little diamond, I love him.

Regards - Carolyn

Charlie, 3yr old gelding

Hi, just to let you know that Charlie has settled into his new home really well. He is everything I could ever wish for, and he is so unbelievably good in every way. He is enjoying being with the other horses in the field and in the yard, and he is really popular with all the kiddies! We are both learning so much, and he is soooo cute! Thanks so much for matching me up with the perfect pony.

Lots of love, Jane (and Charlie)xxx

Casper, 2yr old gelding

Thought I would just leave you a short message to let you know how baby Casper is doing. The vet came out and micro chipped him on Tuesday - he just stood there! He is now going out in the field with a pony called Jake.

He is getting really good at picking his front feet up now getting better with his back feet. Absolutely brilliant to catch. Casper is a real sweetie with good looks to match and loves his food. Another horses stable door hinge came loose next door to Caspers stable so there was alot off banging and drilling happening close to him but he just carried on eating his hay! He hasn’t yet figured out how to keep hold of an apple yet, he drops it and then watches it roll away!

Thanks for the sweetest pony ever. Jane

Hot Gossip, 4yr old mare

Just a quick email to say how well we are getting on with our little 4 year old girl who now answers to the name of Bonny. She travelled very well in the two hour drive home in the trailer.

She is exactly as you said she would be - she's the first one to come to the gate when she sees a headcollar and stands still when being groomed and saddled up.  She has gone out on several hacks with different combinations of Sherry, Molly and Tia and we have taken her in the trailer with Tia to ride round Exton Park. She does what you said she would - looks at the many things she hasn't encountered before, but doesn't rear, buck or gallop off just hesitates a little and then goes gently past.  We have taken her over the railway lines a couple of times which was a new experience for her but she behaved very well.  She waits patiently at gates for one of the others to open them and is content to go in front, in the middle or behind.

Thanks again for providing us with what we were looking for.

Best wishes - Roger
